After being in the game for more than fifteen years, a long awaited moment has become reality: hardcore DJ and producer The Viper has presented his debut album. "Nothing To Lose" represents a long and successful career in hardcore and a huge arsenal of brand new work that Melvin Pelupessy has produced this year. This double album is the effect of a creative year containing nothing but highlights for The Viper: a statement that is underscribed with the release of his album “Nothing To Loseâ€.
The Viper has had tons of smashing hits in his long career. His first EP was released back in 1996: "The Beat" was a modest success, but his breakthrough was accomplished by his releases on the legendary Babyboom Records, produced under the monikers The Viper as well as Black Knight. Next to a long streak of productions on Babyboom Records, The Viper also contributed to anthems for big hardcore events like Project Hardcore and Raving Nightmare. In 2006, The Viper founded his own label Viper Beatz.
The label was very successful with seven releases, but because of creative motives The Viper decided to join Neophyte Records in 2011. The Viper’s career switch was launched with the "Wasting Away" EP and instantly announces that he will drop his debut album in September 2011.
NOTHING TO LOSE
The Viper’s album "Nothing To Lose" is a double-cd, giving an overview of the DJ/ producer's brand new tracks, but also takes you on a journey back into time with a massive selection of The Viper’s discography before he joined Neophyte Records. For this very special occasion, The Viper invited several top artists for various studio sessions, which resulted in a huge amount of big collaborations on the album. Next to these joint ventures, The Viper produced two new solotracks and responded to the public demand for his remixes of Critical Mass - "Burning Love" and Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - "Your Smile". The second cd is a megamix of 28 of his best productions and remixes in his career, including the very demanded “98 To Your Mindâ€, which has never been available
